The health and wellness market size worldwide were estimated at over 4.4 trillion U.S. dollars in 2019, a figure which is set to increase to over six trillion U.S. dollars by 2025.  As many are focus on staying safe and healthy during pandemic era, these numbers are expected to increased rapidly due to persons adapting a health-conscious lifestyle. The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) latest Global Music Report, worldwide recorded music revenues totaled $21.6 billion last year, up 7.4 percent from the previous year's total of $20.2 billion, and despite Covid-19 retail sale challenges, according to Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) revenue statistics, music revenues grew 9.2% in 2020 to $12.2 billion at estimated retail value.  Could this be due to the fact that music manages anxiety and depression? I believe it to be so, but don’t take my word alone.  

According to healthypeople.gov an evidence base resource, published a study in 2017 which identified 9 studies involving 421 people from adolescence to older age. It found that music therapy in addition to Treatment As Usual (TAU) or psychological therapy, is more effective than Treatment As Usual (TAU) alone.
